Weekly Update #1 – Please Except These Presents on Usability as an Apology for What a Bad Blooger I Have Been

Uncategorized No Comments

For any sweet lil’ newbs and vets alike, don’t forget to be sensible!!!! Although some of these links are very old (in tech years), they will always be a useful reminder and guide of how and why we build the products we build. Usability testing, research, and consideration in every interactive project is a must for building products that will prove useful and engaging and for our target market (us). Rounded Corners, Will You Forgive Me?

Design No Comments

Although I have often used rounded corners as content containers I have done it with inner emotional turmoil. I used to refer to them as a passing trend, or — even cheesy, and almost, if you will, provincial in appearance. eShop Plugin for WordPress

WordPress No Comments

So I have started to create a fictional e-commerce site to try out some of the e-commerce plugins available, and found eShop to be really intuitive to get up and running quickly. I had also installed WP e-Commerce to get an idea of what some of the bigger shops are using. I found it a bit too large and confusing for my needs, yet it was initially easy to get up and running, and comes pre-installed with ColorBox and thick-box lightbox plugins.

Keep in mind I was just testing free options. I found many WordPress users recommending PHPurchase, but you must pay to download it. With all that said, check out my work in progress: Lisette Luu Fashion Also keep in mind this is a fictional store. The following are credits for all materials in the site:
